NEW YORK, NY, Sep 24, 2015 – PVBLIC Foundation has partnered with Univision News, the award-winning news division of Univision Communications, Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America, and the “We the Peoples Hub” powered by UNICEF, UN Millennium Campaign and UNDP to host “Impacto Latino” 2015, a groundbreaking event that will showcase prominent figures from Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic community who are promoting social good. The summit will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City on September 28 and 29, 2015, during the annual UN General Assembly meetings.

“Impacto Latino” 2015 will feature Spanish-language panel discussions and talks on a variety of issues including youth engagement, women’s empowerment, and the effective use of business and media to drive positive social change. The summit will be hosted by Univision News anchor Enrique Acevedo; sessions will be moderated by Fusion anchor Mariana Atencio. It will be attended by a group of influential leaders from across the Americas.

Among the Latin media and business personalities scheduled to participate as speakers during the event are Mexican business mogul Angélica Fuentes; Eglantina Zingg, model, MTV Latin America host and Marie Claire fashion week editor; Hector Sánchez, Chairman of the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda; Univision News and Fusion anchor Jorge Ramos (via video); Luis Ortiz, star of the Bravo network’s reality show “Million Dollar Listing.” Additionally, a youth panel composed of Ashoka Fellows and World Economic Forum Global Shapers will discuss the important role of young people in global or local initiatives aimed at finding innovative solutions to social problems.

“This meeting is important because it gives Latinos and Latin Americans the chance to voice their ideas and opinions about the future of our planet at one of the most important global events, the United Nations General Assembly,” stated Mr. Stephen Keppel Vice President of Empowerment Initiatives at Univision Network.

Sergio Fernandez De Cordova, President and Founder of PVBLIC, stated, “This is an extremely important summit as is for Latinos, by Latinos and the first summit held in Spanish. This is a platform building and we will do it every year. Bringing together Latinos in the United States and Latin America, under the same initiative, unifying our roots, our culture and the language that we all speak, Spanish.”

The “Impacto Latino” summit will be held at the We the Peoples Hub, a new multimedia space located at the UN Headquarters. UN-accredited press will have access to the event. The schedule for “Impacto Latino” 2015 is as follows:
